Funeral Advantage FAQs

Insurance Policy FAQs

Unlike many other life insurance plans, you do not need to worry about taking a medical exam to qualify – there are a few health questions within the application that help determine qualification.

Funeral Advantage is a whole life policy that has no term limit. That means that no matter what age you live to, your policy will remain active so long as premiums are paid.

Funeral Advantage accepts 99% of all applicants even if they have pre-existing health conditions or have been denied coverage by other insurance plans. Your qualification is determined by your answers to health questions on the application.

Funeral Advantage is not affiliated with any particular funeral home or funeral approach, giving you and your loved ones maximum flexibility.

Absolutely. Funeral Advantage was designed to be affordable even on a fixed income, accessible to most adults up to 85 years old, and available when the time comes.

My Final Wishes Profile® FAQs

When you begin your coverage with Funeral Advantage, you’ll receive a Final Wishes form along with your policy documents. The form is easy to complete and only takes a few minutes (there’s even an online version if you’d prefer). By completing just a few of the questions, you can specify the type of service you prefer (i.e. burial or cremation, religious or non-religious services, memorial and/or reception if any). You can express as much or as little detail as you’d like (things like colors of flowers, clothing, or even music to be played), and you can always go back and make changes or updates at any time. When the time comes, your loved ones will simply contact Funeral Advantage for help making any necessary arrangements. Your Personal Funeral Advisor® will follow the details laid out in your Final Wishes form to make sure everything goes the way you intended.

Absolutely. More and more people are choosing services that reflect the life they’ve lived, including friends and family in non-traditional settings outside of funeral homes. What you specify in your final wishes profile is entirely up to you.

If you’re undecided about whether you want a traditional funeral with burial, cremation, or if you want things like a memorial service, reception and/or wake, you can still start your coverage and select those details at any time in the future.

Yes. Making changes or updates to your final wishes profile is as easy as making a phone call. We can even provide you with an updated copy for your own records, or to share with a loved one.

One simple phone call is all it takes. When we issue your policy, you will receive a personalized card that you can share with your loved ones. It contains all the instructions necessary for them to access your policy benefits and the services of your Personal Funeral Advisor®.

Only you, your beneficiary, and the team of Funeral Advantage Personal Funeral Advisors will have access to your final wishes profile. All information is kept safe in our secure database. We will never share your final wishes with any outside party without your permission.
