Lincoln Heritage Life Insurance Company recognizes the confidentiality expectations of our consumers, applicants, policyholders, and beneficiaries. When you apply for insurance or file a claim, you disclose a certain amount of information about yourself to us.
We believe it is important you know how we treat the information we receive about you. This Privacy Policy is designed to provide full transparency of the personal information practices Lincoln Heritage may utilize and the personal information practices we have utilized over the past 12 months.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information to those associates who need to know to provide you with excellent customer service. We also train our Home Office associates on the importance of confidentiality of personal information and how to take appropriate and required measures to fulfill privacy responsibilities.
We retain your personal and sensitive personal information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or to enforce or comply with our legal or contractual rights and obligations, to resolve disputes and defend claims, and to reserve our legal rights.
YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
We provide all consumers in the United States the rights afforded by existing privacy laws, including:
Right to know: The right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information.
Right to delete: The right to request that we delete any of your personal information collected from you and retained by us. Some legal limitations and exceptions may apply.
Right to correct: The right to request we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you. Alternatively, we may delete inaccurate personal information if doing so does not negatively impact you, or if you consent.
Right to opt out: The right to request we do not use any of your sensitive personal information or to opt out of the selling and sharing of your personal information (Lincoln Heritage does not sell or share personal information – including the information of minors).
Disclosure rights: We do not disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those specified in section 7027(m) of the California Consumer Privacy Act Regulations.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect personal information from several types of consumers including our policyholders and other individuals named in a policy, persons who may receive information about products or services (“Leads/Prospects”), prospective recruits, agents and other similar business partners, and representatives of other businesses we work with. The type of personal information we may collect, the sources of that personal information, our purposes for collecting, using, and disclosing that personal information, and other factors vary depending on the type of consumer you are.
We may collect the following categories and pieces of personal information and sensitive personal information:
- Identifiers: Name, address, email, phone number, IP address, SSN, etc.
- Personal Information: Policy and claim details or history, payment information or financial data.
- Health and medical information: Collected only as authorized by you or required by law.
- Protected classifications: Age, sex, disability.
- Internet activity: Browsing history, ad interaction.
- Inferences: Language preference only.
- Audio/electronic: Customer service call recordings, agent communications, emails, etc.

BENEFICIARIES AND OTHER AUTHORIZED CONTACTS
We may collect personal information about individuals who are not the direct purchasers of our products and services such as policy beneficiaries, insured parties, referrals, emergency contacts, or authorized representatives. This information may be provided by policyholders, agents, or other sources. Information may include name, date of birth, SSN, contact information, relationship to the policyholder, and other relevant data. We use this information only for the permitted business purposes listed in the continuing section.

If you provide us with your email address such as when requesting a quote, applying for insurance, or contacting us, you may receive occasional marketing emails from Lincoln Heritage. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link included in each marketing email.
In some cases, we may also receive your email address through advertising partners or data providers that combine information across websites and services (“cross-context behavioral data”). This may occur even if you have not directly submitted your email address to us. We use this information to provide relevant offers and communications that may be of interest to you. You can opt out of these communications at any time using the unsubscribe link provided.
Some consumers who use Gmail may see advertisements from Lincoln Heritage within the Gmail interface. These are not marketing emails sent by Lincoln Heritage, but rather display ads served by Google. These ads may appear in the Promotions tab or in Sponsored sections of your Gmail account. Because they are delivered through Google’s advertising platform and not sent directly by us, opting out of our marketing emails will not prevent these ads from appearing.
